The Mediterranean Entrepreneurship Network project seeks to support the creation of “Réseau Entreprendre” business associations in Morocco and Tunisia to provide mentoring to new-business starters with entrepreneurial potential. Through this project, experienced entrepreneurs will volunteer to personally mentor the new entrepreneurs for the first 2-3 years in monthly meetings. Financial support will also be provided through interest-free, unsecured loans, repayable over 5 years, thereby allowing entrepreneurs to consolidate their equity capital.

Generation Entrepreneur is the first project promoted under the Mediterranean Initiative for Jobs (Med4Jobs). It was endorsed by the 43 member countries of the UfM in October 2013.

The “Mediterranean Initiative for Jobs (Med4Jobs)” is a programme developed by the UfM Secretariat with the aim to promote and replicate a number of visible private sector job creation projects in the Southern and Eastern Mediterranean region.
