Tunis, 30-31 March 2017. The Third Ministerial Conference on Research, Innovation and Higher Education of the Dialogue 5+5 will take place on 30-31 March 2017 in Tunis.

Building on the progress and achievements undertaken since the adoption of the Madrid and Rabat Ministerial Declarations in 2015 and 2013 respectively, the third Ministerial Conference aims at strengthening partnerships in research, innovation and higher education to further stimulate economic growth, job creation and social cohesion in the Western Mediterranean region.

The UfM Secretariat has partnered up with Lycée Français de Barcelone to implement an UfM stimulation program for youth, called DIA-MED/Barcelone (les Dialogues pour la Méditerranée de Barcelone).

This event takes the form of UfM model negotiation programme benefitting young students aged from 15 to 19, interested to develop capacities, enhance decision-making and shape better knowledge about the Mediterranean region. Malta, 5-6 October 2017. The European Union will host the fourth high-level Our Ocean Conference in Malta on 5 and 6 October 2017. In the spirit of the successful 2014, 2015 and 2016 editions, the conference aims to inspire and empower a new generation of leaders, entrepreneurs, scientists and civil society to identify solutions and commit to actions for safe, secure, clean and sustainably managed oceans.
