The French Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Development (MAEDI) has invited the UfM to participate in a seminar entitled \u201cThe Professionalisation and employability of youth in the Mediterranean: innovated approaches & exchange of views\u201d organised by the FSP (Priority Solidarity Fund) on 18-19 January 2016.<\/p>\n

Since August 2012, In Algeria, Morocco and Tunisia, the FSP project \u201dvocational higher education\u201d has reinforced vocational training by fostering social dialogue between universities and businesses while also supporting structures which contribute to the integration of young graduates in the labour market.<\/p>\n

During the 2 day seminar, participants will be invited to share ideas to enhance the efficacy of vocational training and improve greater links between universities and enterprises in the Maghreb countries.<\/p>\n

In this regard, the experience of the UfM labelled project HOMERe<\/a> will be presented as a best practice by promoter Mr. L\u00e9o Vincent and will include a testimony by Moroccan student Kenza Abouakil who has been selected for a 6-month HOMERe professional training placement in a company based in Brest, France, as of April 2016.\u00a0 Ms. Emmanuelle Gardan representing the Higher Education and Research division will highlight the UfM contribution to promoting youth employability and inclusive growth in the region through UfM projects such as the Euro-Mediterranean University of Fes (UEMF), the New Chance Mediterranean Network (MedNC), Skills for Success \u2013 Employability Skills for Women, Maharat Med, Generation Entrepreneur and the Med4Jobs Initiative.<\/p>\n
