To ensure appropriate governance structures, the UfM Forum on Blue Economy was established as a <em>\u201c\u2026framework of dialogue on sustainable blue economy\u2026\u201d<\/em> composed of various elements, among which the UfM Regional Stakeholder Conference on Blue Economy.<\/p>\n<p>The\u00a0UfM Regional Stakeholder Conference on Blue Economy\u00a0will take place in Naples (Italy) on 29-30 November 2017 with the following\u00a0objectives: i) to provide a regional platform for discussing opportunities and challenges inherent to the promotion of blue economy; ii) to exchange views on alternative approaches and methodologies capable to boost blue economy; iii) to identify policies\/strategies able to harness the potential of blue economy in promoting growth, jobs, investments and reduce poverty in a sustainable way.<\/p>\n<p>This two-day international and multi-stakeholder event\u00a0will gather approx. 300 participants, including governments\u2019 representatives, regional\/local authorities, business sector, universities\/training and education centres, international development agencies, international organizations, and civil society organizations dealing with marine and maritime issues.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/www.med-vkc-blueconomy.org\/\" target=\"_blank\">Registration online here!<\/a><\/p>\n<h4>More information<\/h4>\n<ul>\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/ufmsecretariat.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/10\/17-10-12-westmed-goals-brochure-en-web.pdf\" target=\"_blank\">westMED brochure \u2013 Goals and Priorities<\/a><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Naples, Italy,\u00a029-30 November 2017.-\u00a0In 2015, the Ministers and other Heads of Delegations of the Union for the Mediterranean (UfM) adopted the UfM Ministerial Declaration on Blue Economy.
