{"id":58098,"date":"2018-06-22T14:14:49","date_gmt":"2018-06-22T13:14:49","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/ufmsecretariat.org\/?p=58098"},"modified":"2018-05-29T14:31:30","modified_gmt":"2018-05-29T13:31:30","slug":"xviii-mediterranean-games","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/ufmsecretariat.org\/ar\/xviii-mediterranean-games\/","title":{"rendered":"XVIII Mediterranean games"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><strong>22\u00a0June &#8211; 1\u00a0July 2018, Tarragona.<\/strong>&#8211; The\u00a0<a href=\"http:\/\/www.tarragona2018.cat\/en\">Mediterranean Games<\/a>\u00a0are a multisport competition that is organised within the Olympic movement, with the recognition by the International Olympic Committee (IOC).<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignleft size-full wp-image-58327\" src=\"https:\/\/ufmsecretariat.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/06\/2018_MG_logo.png\" alt=\"\" width=\"465\" height=\"184\" srcset=\"https:\/\/ufmsecretariat.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/06\/2018_MG_logo.png 465w, https:\/\/ufmsecretariat.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/06\/2018_MG_logo-300x119.png 300w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 465px) 100vw, 465px\" \/><\/p>\n<p>The 18<sup>th<\/sup>\u00a0Mediterranean Games are not only an event of social transformation and international projection, but also an opportunity of being more than a sports event: a connecting link in the Mediterranean based on solidarity and harmony.<\/p>\n<p>In 10 days of competition, the Games will bring to Tarragona and the territory:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>4,000 athletes from 26 different countries<\/li>\n<li>1,000 judges and representatives of the International Federations and the International Committee of the Games<\/li>\n<li>1,000 journalists from all over the world<\/li>\n<li>3,500 volunteers to cover the needs of organization<\/li>\n<li>More than 150,000 spectators<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h4><strong>Youth for the Mediterranean<\/strong><\/h4>\n<p>Youth for the Mediterranean is a new initiative supported by the Union for the Mediterranean, back to back with the Tarragona Games and with the active implication of Youth Partner Organizations across the Mediterranean.
