The UfM is co-organising together with the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.gwp.org\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><span class=\"s1\">Global Water Partnership (<\/span><span class=\"s3\">GWP<\/span><\/a><span class=\"s1\">) and <a href=\"https:\/\/www.unenvironment.org\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">UN Environment Programme (UNEP)<\/a>\u00a0<\/span><span class=\"s1\">the high-level side event on &#8220;a<\/span><span class=\"s1\">ccelerating water action to build our countries back better post-COVID<\/span> <span class=\"s1\">and\u00a0<\/span><span class=\"s1\">scal<\/span><span class=\"s2\">e <\/span><span class=\"s1\">up SDG delivery&#8221;, in the framework of the <a href=\"https:\/\/sustainabledevelopment.un.org\/hlpf\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">UN High-level Political Forum (HLPF) on Sustainable Development<\/a>.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p>High-level representatives of countries and of international organisations will reflect upon the opportunities and challenges around transformative post-COVID pathways leading to a new normal, based on accelerated delivery of science-based, cost-effective and sustainable actions. This approach will use water as an integrated connector to provide multiple benefits that help countries meet their diverse development, climate-related, biodiversity and disaster-related commitments. Collectively overcoming the shared challenges will leave participants with a better understanding of how accelerating water action through a multi-stakeholder partnership approach can generate significant environmental, economic and social progress and upscaledSDG delivery.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>7-16 July 2020.
