Digital transformation of higher education was already a reality before the coronavirus crisis, but the current pandemic is accelerating the process. The\u00a0<\/span>confinement\u00a0<\/span>measures forced<\/span>\u00a0universities<\/span>,<\/span>\u00a0at very different stages of digital transformation<\/span>,<\/span>\u00a0to find alternative ways to deliver education.\u00a0<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

This webinar will focus on how\u00a0<\/span>current\u00a0<\/span>threats could be transformed into opportunities\u00a0<\/span>to<\/span>\u00a0improve the quality and inclusiveness of teaching.\u00a0<\/span>The session<\/span>\u00a0is addressed to those involved in the\u00a0<\/span>definition of strategies<\/span>\u00a0for Higher Education Institutions in the Mediterranean<\/span>\u00a0including<\/span>\u00a0students, teachers, higher education leaders and policymakers.<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

The process of digital transformation involves the entire higher education systems and entails reassessing priorities\u00a0<\/span>related to<\/span>\u00a0investments in infrastructures and human resources, within the HEIs themselves, but also at national, regional, and international levels. Multilateral collaboration can<\/span>\u00a0counter<\/span>act<\/span>\u00a0digital divides, but it is also required to define common technology norms and values, in a process in which multi-stakeholder participation is\u00a0<\/span>necessary<\/span>.\u00a0<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

The webinar will be conducted in English and French and is free and open to everyone.<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n
