{"id":129369,"date":"2022-01-25T17:11:58","date_gmt":"2022-01-25T16:11:58","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/ufmsecretariat.org\/\/?p=129369"},"modified":"2022-01-26T12:11:51","modified_gmt":"2022-01-26T11:11:51","slug":"ufm-sg-turkish-foreign-affairs-minister","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/ufmsecretariat.org\/fr\/ufm-sg-turkish-foreign-affairs-minister\/","title":{"rendered":"UfM SG meets with Turkish Foreign Affairs Minister, Mevl\u00fct \u00c7avu\u015fo\u011flu"},"content":{"rendered":"<p class=\"p1\"><strong>24 January 2022. <\/strong>UfM Secretary General, Nasser Kamel, met with Turkish Minister for Foreign Affairs, Mevl\u00fct \u00c7avu\u015fo\u011flu, in Ankara in Turkey on Monday January 24, 2022.<span class=\"Apple-converted-space\">\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"p3\">They discussed the challenges and the opportunities in the Mediterranean region, as well as the way to reinforce the cooperation among Member States of the Union for the Mediterranean to promote a sustainable development and stability in the region.<span class=\"Apple-converted-space\">\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"p3\">During the meeting, the Secretary General recalled the need to focus in a sustainable post pandemic recovery phase on an effective regional integration that will unleash the full social and economic potential of the Mediterranean region.<\/p>\n<p class=\"p4\">SG Kamel reiterated the appreciation of the UfM towards Turkey\u2019s involvement in various UfM initiatives, praising\u00a0 Turkey\u2019s contribution to the different UfM Regional Platforms.<\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\">During his official visit to Ankara, the Secretary General also met with Ambassador Faruk Kaymakc\u0131, Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs and Director for EU Affairs as well as the Deputy Minister of Environment, Urbanization and Climate Change and the Deputy Minister of Transport and Infrastructure.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>24 January 2022.
