In preparation of the Summit of the Two Shores, a far-reaching process is taking place from January to mid-June aimed at putting civil society at the heart of renewed regional cooperation, including five other preparatory fora on the main themes of the Summit:\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/ufmsecretariat.org\/\/fr\/investing-in-a-mediterranean-generation-ufm-participates-in-the-malta-forum-on-youth-education-and-mobility\/\">\u201cYouth, Education and Mobility\u201d (Malta)<\/a>; \u201cEconomy and Competitiveness\u201d (Morocco);<a href=\"https:\/\/ufmsecretariat.org\/\/fr\/thematic-forum-algiers-summit-of-the-two-shores\/\">\u201cEnergy\u201d (Algeria)<\/a>;\u201d Environment and Sustainable Development\u201d (Italy); and \u201cCulture, Media and Tourism\u201d (France). The output will be central to a pre-Summit forum in Tunis on\u00a011 and 12 June 2019 on \u201cTowards a common space of intercultural dialogue\u201d with the participation of 100 nominated civil society individuals from each of the associated countries, called the Assembly of the 100.\u00a0Lead representatives will sit on a steering committee, whose work is coordinated by the Tunisian lead, Ouided Bouchamaoui.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Tunis, 11 and 12 June 2019.
