Following the implementation of the previous agreement (2014 \u2013 2018), which was supporting UfM labelled projects and specific activities addressing women empowerment in the region, a new agreement has been designed in close coordination with the Norwegian Ministry of Foreign Affairs, devoted to channel the necessary financial resources to <strong>UfM labelled projects fostering job creation and employability of women and youth in North Africa<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p>The programme aims at contributing to increase the employability of youth and women, in North Africa, by closing the gap between labor demand and supply, and fostering a culture of entrepreneurship and private sector development, over 3 components:<\/p>\n<ol>\n<li>Enhance the leadership, management and entrepreneurial skills of existing SMES and women entrepreneurs<\/li>\n<li>Develop the employability skills of young unemployed women just out of secondary school education<\/li>\n<li>Improve the employability of young NEETs by mobilizing and reinforcing Second Chance solutions<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<p>Specifically, the UfM labelled projects that will benefit from funding under the new agreement are:<\/p>\n<p>\u201c<a href=\"https:\/\/ufmsecretariat.org\/\/fr\/project\/ceed-grow-growing-and-scaling-small-and-medium-sized-businesses\/\">CEED Grow<\/a> &#8211; Growing and Scaling Small and Medium Enterprises\u201d enhancing leadership, management and entrepreneurial skills, with a focus on women entrepreneurs, in Tunisia and Morocco.<\/p>\n<p>\u201c<a href=\"https:\/\/ufmsecretariat.org\/\/fr\/project\/skills-for-success-employability-skills-for-women\/\">Skills for Success<\/a> \u2013 Employability Skills for Women\u201d providing disadvantaged, unemployed, secondary-level educated women with the necessary skills, knowledge and tools to enter the labour market in Tunisia.<\/p>\n<p>\u201c<a href=\"https:\/\/ufmsecretariat.org\/\/fr\/project\/mednc-new-chance-mediterranean-network\/\">Mediterranean New Chance<\/a> &#8211; MedNC\u201d implementing innovative and sustainable solutions to address the challenge of socio-professional integration of young people, in particular NEETs, in Algeria, Morocco and Tunisia.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>The Norwegian Ministry of Foreign Affairs and the UfM Secretariat have renewed their cooperation by signing a \u20ac600.000 annual financial agreement to foster job creation and employability of women and youth in North Africa.
