The\u00a0<span style=\"font-style: inherit !important;\">11th plenary session of the Euro-Mediterranean Regional and Local Assembly (ARLEM)<\/span>\u00a0will take\u00a0place\u00a0in Barcelona, Spain on 22 and 23 January 2020 at the invitation of Ms Ada Colau Ballano, Mayor of Barcelona and hosted by the Union for the Mediterranean.<\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-style: inherit !important; font-weight: inherit !important;\">The ARLEM members will adopt the\u00a0Action Plan for the next term of office, the\u00a0Recommendations as well as the calendar for the ARLEM\u00a0activities during the coming year. The Assembly\u00a0will also decide the topics and the rapporteurs for 2020.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-style: inherit !important; font-weight: inherit !important;\">Furthermore, the plenary session\u00a0will adopt the\u00a0two draft ARLEMreports: on <\/span><strong>blue economy for local and regional authorities in the Mediterranean<\/strong>, by rapporteur Vincenzo Bianco (IT\/PES), Councillor of Catania, Italy and on <strong>regional integration in the Mediterranean<\/strong>, by rapporteur Jehad Khair, Mayor of Beit Sahour, Palestine.<\/p>\n<p><span data-offset-key=\"1r8lo-1-0\">The winner of the <a href=\"https:\/\/cor.europa.eu\/en\/events\/pages\/arlem_award_2020.aspx\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">ARLEM Award 2020<\/a> to the young local entrepreneur from the Mediterranean region will be awarded at a special ceremony during the plenary.<\/span><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>22-23 January 2020, Barcelona.
