{"id":2567,"date":"2022-11-14T09:25:46","date_gmt":"2022-11-14T09:25:46","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/ufmsecretariat.org\/mediterraneancoalition?post_type=press-releases&#038;p=2567"},"modified":"2022-11-14T09:27:31","modified_gmt":"2022-11-14T09:27:31","slug":"scientists-journalists-euromediterranean-region-discuss-scientific-climate-change-storytelling","status":"publish","type":"press-releases","link":"https:\/\/ufmsecretariat.org\/mediterraneancoalition\/press-releases\/scientists-journalists-euromediterranean-region-discuss-scientific-climate-change-storytelling","title":{"rendered":"<strong>Scientists and journalists from the Euro-Mediterranean region to discuss the scientific climate change storytelling<\/strong>"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p>Sharm el-Sheikh, Egypt &#8211; 16 November 2022<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><a href=\"http:\/\/rai.it\"><strong><em>Rai &#8211; Radiotelevisione italiana S.p.A<\/em><\/strong><\/a> <em>is the official media partner of the first-ever <\/em><strong><em>Mediterranean Pavilion in the history of climate negotiations, <\/em><\/strong><em>led by the UfM, UNEP-MAP and PRIMA Foundation with a coalition of the most relevant climate action organizations.<\/em><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><em>This Thursday, <strong>Nobel Prize awardee Parisi and prominent engineer<\/strong> <strong>Ercoli-Finzi<\/strong> will be intervening in a workshop led by Rai on how to create social awareness through media coverage of climate change-related topics.<\/em><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Organized by the UfM\u2019s media partner RAI &amp; Moderated by Maria Cuffaro, editor in chief, reporter Tg3, the workshop <em>Climate Change and Biodiversity: what Science says, how Media tell<\/em> will host a debate between journalists and scientists from the Euro-Mediterranean region on how to make climate change and its consequences easily understandable to create social awareness.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>This high-level event counts with the extraordinary participation of <strong>Nobel Prize-winning physicist Giorgio Parisi<\/strong> and <strong>Amalia Ercoli Finzi, the first woman to graduate in aeronautical engineering<\/strong> in Italy, prominent investigator and scientific advisor to NASA and the European Space Agency.
