The goal of this session is to showcase the Mediterranean as testcase on the role of science as a lever for spurring joint innovative actions on Climate Change. As an interface between different continents, it leads very different realities to dialogue using science as a neutral, fact-based common ground upon which countries can build together a shared understanding, and create joint initiatives. Representatives from different international organizations and initiatives where research and innovation play a significant role will discuss the role of science in finding a common language, and how the Mediterranean can manage to bring together stakeholders around this issue.
