From Solutions & Results to Scaling Up Implementation of Low-Carbon Mobility: A focus on Rail, Public Transport and Active Mobility in the Next Generation of Nationally Determined Contributions in Mediterranean countries

Day: 15/11/2025
Time: 14:00 -
15:00 .
Place: Mediterranean Pavilion
Organised by: UfM

To meet global climate goals, emissions from the transport sector must decline rapidly—particularly in urban areas. Building on integrated sustainable urban mobility planning and robust governance, rail, public transport, and active mobility are essential to achieving this transformation. Through their solutions, these sectors must play a central role in the next generation of Nationally Determined Contributions (NDCs 3.0).

This event will spotlight the opportunities, success stories, and policy instruments needed to enhance the contribution of urban mobility systems in NDC 3.0, with a focus on financing, implementation, and raising ambition. Strengthening transport commitments will not only accelerate decarbonization but also improve quality of life, reduce emissions, and transform cities across the Mediterranean region.
