The Mediterranean region has numerous women at the forefront of climate action; be it as activists, entrepreneurs, members of government and climate negotiators or scientists. Nonetheless, the needs of women and girls are often overlooked in multilateral climate processes, because they are severely underrepresented in negotiations. Recognizing that women’s leadership is extremely important, this event aims to highlight the remarkable achievements and contributions of women from the Euro-Mediterranean region and inspire a young generation of future leaders.
