The Water & Environment Division of the UfM and the Palestinian Water Authority will co-organize this side-event within the framework of the World Water Week 2012, to be held in Stockholm, Sweden next 26-31 August.
A globally recognized water crisis exists in the Gaza Strip, where less than 10% of the groundwater is now yielding drinking quality water. The session will present the Palestinian Authority’s solution endorsed by the 43 country members of the Union for the Mediterranean highlighting a Project Information Memorandum prepared by the European Investment Bank.
