The Euro-Mediterranean University of Fes and the University of Oxford organize a workshop on: ” Moroccan migration: transformations, transitions and future perspectives”
In line with Morocco’s evolving and inclusive national policy with regards to immigration, the Euro-Mediterranean University of Fes (UEMF) and the International Migration Institute of the University of Oxford (IMI) jointly organize an international interdisciplinary workshop on the paradigm shift and evolution of the migration system from, and towards Morocco, given the country’s position at a crossroads between the Euro-Mediterranean and African migration systems. The workshop will take place in Fes from May 22nd to May 24th, 2014.
The purpose of the workshop is to advance the understanding of past and present changes in Moroccan migration, as well as determine the social, economic, cultural, demographic and political transformations, in a broader sense, which explain these trends.
The submission of a publication from a selection of papers presented is expected as at the end of the workshop.
