Over the course of an initial 5-year period, the project will contribute majorly to the depollution of the Lake of Bizerte, in northern Tunisia, and reduce indirect pollution impacting the Mediterranean Sea, through an integrated and concerted approach involving local stakeholders while investing in facilities to reduce liquid or solid waste and air emissions around the Lake.

Ce projet permettra de renforcer les flux commerciaux et d’améliorer la compétitivité du secteur logistique dans la région. Il sera complémentaire aux programmes de formation existants il offrira un soutien aux différents partenaires méditerranéens pour améliorer la qualification du personnel logistique.

À l’occasion de la 18e réunion ordinaire des Parties contractantes à la convention sur la protection du milieu marin et du littoral de la Méditerranée et ses protocoles, le Secrétariat de l’UpM et les partenaires du Comité directeur de l’initiative H2020 ont informé les États membres et les parties prenantes de la convention des résultats d’une étude globale pour la protection de la mer Méditerranée contre la pollution.
