10 April 2025, Barcelona (Spain). In the framework of the ongoing reform of the Union for the Mediterranean (UfM) to ensure its continued relevance and increased impact in the region, the UfM Secretariat is convening the Second Meeting of UfM Development Actors from the Member States at the UfM’s headquarters.
Following the success of the first gathering in 2024, the meeting aims to exchange information, share best practices, and identify opportunities between development agencies. This includes joint programming and implementation, co-funding of projects, pooling of resources and expertise, and other means to increase the efficiency of collective action for more sustainable results and greater impact in the region.
To enhance the outcomes of the meeting, the UfM Grant Schemes Stakeholders Dialogue will be held the following day. This dialogue will focus on the impact and lessons learned from the UfM Grant Schemes, co-funded by the German and Spanish Development Cooperations. With participation from implementing partners and grant beneficiaries, the dialogue aims to promote synergies, showcase success stories, and inform future UfM actions.
