The Secretary General of the UfM holds talks with the Tunisian Minister of Foreign Affairs

Meeting between Mr. Rafik Abdesselam and Mr. Fathallah Sijilmassi: Tunisia supports the Union for the Mediterranean.

Istanbul, 6 June 2012. On the margins of the World Economic Forum on the Middle East, North Africa and Eurasia (Istanbul, 4-6 June 2012), the Secretary General of the UfM, Fathallah Sijilmassi, held a meeting with the Tunisian Minister of Foreign Affairs, Rafik  Abdesselam, who expressed the full support of Tunisia to the UfM and stressed on the opportunities to strengthen the cooperation between the UfM and Tunisia.

Mr. Sijilmassi highlighted the strategic role of Tunisia in the Maghreb and in the Mediterranean region. He reiterated the willingness of the UfM to accompany the socio-economic development of Tunisia in terms of regional initiatives and concrete projects with tangible results and impacts.
