5 and 6 July 2017, Barcelona.– This two days meeting will offer the opportunity to take stock of the results obtained within the framework of the MedNC project since its labeling by the 43 Member States of the Union for the Mediterranean (Steering Committee on the 5th) and to visit one of the concrete actions developed on the ground (Visit to the Fundació El Llindar on the 6th). The Fundació El Llindar is a flagship social and educational entity, founding member of the Asociación Escuelas de Segunda Oportunidad (Spanish branch of the MedNC project).
The event will bring together representatives of the regional partner centres involved in the project, members of organisations promoting similar pedagogical models, donors and other relevant stakeholders.
The MedNC project: is part of the UfM’s cross-sector initiative, Mediterranean Initiative for Jobs (Med4Jobs) and contributes to the strategic goal of fostering employability for young people and inclusive growth in the region.
It aims to promote a regional network of accredited orientation, training and professional integration centres to establish a shared and innovative teaching model in order to boost the employability of young people who have dropped out of school before obtaining a degree and unemployed graduates. The network relies on national coordinators who support local centres, in partnership with government bodies, the private sector and civil society.
