17th UfM Regional Platform on Employment and Labour

13-14 November 2024, Rome, Italy. As part of the Roadmap implementing the Declaration of the 5th UfM Ministerial on Employment and Labour that took place in Marrakech on 18 May 2022, the Member States of the Union for the Mediterranean will convene for the 17th meeting of the UfM Regional Platform on Employment and Labour in Rome, Italy.
The meeting will discuss the state of play of the implementation of the commitments taken in the 2022 Marrakech Ministerial Declaration, and pave the way for the 2025 UfM Ministerial on Employment and Labour. The meeting will finally be an opportunity to present the projects under the new UfM Grant Scheme to Promote Employment and Entrepreneurship in the Green Economy. The projects’ implementers will join the meeting for an interactive session with the Platform’s members.
The Regional Platform on Employment and Labour meets twice per year. It is chaired by the UfM Co-Presidency: the European Commission (DG EMPL) and Jordan (Ministry of Labour) and brings together representatives from employment and labour ministries and agencies from the UfM Member States as well as representatives from European institutions/agencies, international organisations and experts.
