L’atelier de l’UpM sur les compétences vertes en Méditerranée, qui s’est tenu à Saragosse, en Espagne, a permis d’aborder la question des taux de chômage élevés et les lacunes en termes de compétences dans la région, en mettant l’accent sur le rôle de l’éducation et de la recherche dans la promotion de systèmes alimentaires durables et le renforcement des perspectives de carrière professionnelle. Barcelone, le 3 octobre 2023 – La conférence euro-méditerranéenne sur la diplomatie scientifique, co-organisée par l’Union pour la Méditerranée en partenariat avec la Commission européenne, s’est déroulée avec l’objectif de mettre en lumière l’état d’avancement de la diplomatie scientifique dans la région méditerranéenne, ses obstacles et ses opportunités, et de discuter des étapes futures. Juillet 2023, Barcelone – La recherche et l’innovation sont essentielles à l’innovation des économies méditerranéennes et à l’emploi de leurs étudiants et chercheurs. Un dialogue structuré entre le monde universitaire, le secteur des entreprises et les décideurs politiques est un moyen efficace de relier plus étroitement ce secteur à l’agenda régional de l’économie durable. Grâce à un partenariat entre les deux institutions, des étudiants du sud de la Méditerranée ont reçu une expertise financière et politique de haut niveau sur les politiques euro-méditerranéennes et les opportunités financières offertes par la BEI. The UfM Higher Education Stakeholders’ Meeting aimed at discussing and exchanging on how to lay concrete foundations for regional close cooperation in the field of Higher Education. A roundtable discussion on research and innovation and PRIMA projects was held in Egypt during an Italian-led mission on Agriculture, Agri-food and Food Security. The Union for the Mediterranean and the European Investment Bank have signed an agreement this year starting training activities in Mediterranean Universities. With the support of the UfM, the EIB is bringing high-level financial expertise outside of the European Union. Barcelona, 1 December. The Union for the Mediterranean and the European Investment Bank have started working together to bring trainings on the EuroMediterranean multilateral policy frameworks, and EU project financing mechanisms to pilot Mediterranean Universities.
