Helsinki, 16 June 2022. The Workshop “Housing cooperatives: a sustainable model for European and Mediterranean countries”, held on 16 June in Helsinki in the margins of the International Social Housing Festival 2022, was co-organised by the UfM Secretariat and Housing Europe and gathered representatives of both Housing Cooperatives and the Ministries in charge of Housing from European and neighbouring countries. UfM Member States met today at the level of Senior Officials to discuss the activities and projects of the Union for the Mediterranean for the second semester 2022. They exchanged on the state-of-play of the preparations for the upcoming Ministerial Meetings on Research and Innovation (27 June 2022), on Transport (3 October 2022), and on Strengthening the Role of Women in Society (26 October 2022). 5 June 2022. The World Environment Day 2022  calls for transformative changes in policies, including ensuring that maritime activities are sustainable, innovative and job-creation oriented. Barcelona, 19 May 2022.  The Union for the Mediterranean organised a Regional Dialogue Meeting in the framework of the 3rd UNESCO World Higher Education Conference (WHEC2022), held in Barcelona from 18 to 20 may. The meeting was an opportunity for qualified exchanges between representatives from Ministries of Higher Education of the UfM Member States, the European Commission, and key regional partner organizations and relevant academic stakeholders. Les ministres chargés de l’emploi et du travail au sein des pays de l’Union pour la Méditerranée (UpM) se sont accordés sur des actions communes pour une meilleure intégration des marchés sociaux et du travail dans la région euro-méditerranéenne.
