Les efforts de coopération dans les domaines de l’enseignement supérieur, de la recherche et de l’innovation, jouent un rôle essentiel dans la mise en place d’un agenda positif pour les jeunes en Méditerranée, en raison de son impact sur l’employabilité et le dialogue interculturel. L’Union pour la Méditerranée (UpM) a donc lancé un processus de dialogue régional sur l’internationalisation de l’enseignement supérieur dans la région, afin d’appuyer ce processus et améliorer la qualité et les normes d’enseignement et de recherche. Le 21 juin 2021. L’UpM est fière de soutenir à nouveau le Prix ARLEM, destiné aux jeunes entrepreneurs de la Méditerranée. Les inscriptions sont désormais ouvertes pour le prix 2022 des entreprises soutenant les collectivités locales du sud de la Méditerranée, décerné par l’Assemblée régionale et locale euro-méditerranéenne (ARLEM). L’entrepreneuriat est essentiel pour renforcer le développement économique durable, mais les défis auxquels sont confrontés les jeunes entrepreneurs dans le développement de leurs entreprises n’ont fait qu’augmenter avec l’impact du Covid-19. UfM member states met on 17 June 2021 to review the activities of the UfM Secretariat in the first semester of 2021 and discuss the preparation of the post-Covid19 recovery across the Euro-Mediterranean region. They notably discussed the future Research and Innovation agenda of the UfM Regional Platform on Research and Innovation, with focus on climate change, renewable energy and health, as well as the UfM Employment and Labour agenda. Les ministres chargés de l’Énergie des 42 États membres de l’Union pour la Méditerranée (UpM) se sont réunis pour leur troisième Conférence ministérielle sur l’énergie. With 40% of the population under the age of 25 in some areas of the Mediterranean, youth unemployment and under-employment in the region has been among the highest in the world for more than two decades. 27 May 2021. The second meeting of the Regional Dialogue on Women Empowerment Working Group took place yesterday, co-chaired by Tunisia and with the UfM Secretariat as facilitator. The Working Group assesses progress on data gathering for the first ever intergovernmental reporting exercise monitoring progress on gender equality and women empowerment, launched earlier this year.
