The BlueMed initiative is launching a new Call for Start-up Action. The Start-up Actions represent concrete opportunities to explore innovative, knowledge-based pathways and forward-looking visions with a multidisciplinary, mission-oriented approach, for further uptake and developments. The BlueMed initiative is one of the main line of actions within the UfM Ministerial on Blue Economy. 4 may 2018, Rabat. New developments in the advancement of the scaling-up strategy of the UfM labelled project “HOMERe” were achieved at Mohammed V University in Rabat, Morroco, on 4 May 2018, during a Euro-Mediterranean event on “International internships as a tool for youth employability in the Mediterranean” which celebrated ten years of cooperation between French and Moroccan universities and companies in this respect. The Secretariat of the Union for the Mediterranean (UfM) participated in the 5th Summit of Presidents of Parliament and the 14th Plenary Session of the Parliamentary Assembly of the UfM (PA-UfM), which took place in Cairo on 28-29 April. La pollution marine constitue une menace grave pour les environnements maritimes et côtiers de la Méditerranée. Environ 80 % de la pollution marine provient des terres ; la majorité étant composée de plastique et de micro-plastiques. Ljubljana, 11th April, 2018. Ljubljana has hosted the Creative Forum Ljubljana, organised by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and in collaboration with the Union for the Mediterranean.
