Creative Economy and Heritage Industries in Turbulent Times
Barcelona, 8 October 2020. The fourth Webinar to be delivered by the UfM Economic Development and Employment Division is anchored to the UfM Secretariat’s efforts to contribute to the post-pandemic recovery, and aims to showcase some of the promising sectors and the required skills for the ‘new normal’ that will follow the crisis. Capitalizing on the in-house expertise in several sectors, the fourth webinar was delivered in Arabic with a focus on cultural and creative industries and supply chains in the UfM Region and their potential in the post-pandemic horizon.
Key Themes:
– A brief on the socio-economic impact of the COVID-19 Pandemic on the UfM Region;
– An explanation of the Creative Economy concept, and the differentiation between cultural industries and creative industries;
– An examination of the supply chains and the extent to which they are gender-sensitive;
– An exploration of the different domains of heritage values in the Euro-Med Region and the potential for monetizing them.
