A travers cette déclaration conjointe, le Ministère fédéral allemand de la Coopération économique et du Développement (BMZ) et le Secrétariat général de l’Union pour la Méditerranée (UpM) entament un partenariat renforcé visant à favoriser l’intégration régionale et la création de nombreuses opportunités d’emploi, en particulier pour les jeunes, ainsi qu’à stimuler les échanges commerciaux dans la région et au-delà. Pour atteindre ces objectifs, le BMZ apportera son soutien au Secrétariat général de l’UpM par un projet consultatif s’élevant à 2 millions d’euros pour la période 2017-2019.
