27 May 2020. The Union for the Mediterranean (UfM) and the MEDports Association, will host an online Webinar on the “Impacts of the COVID-19 pandemic on Ports and Maritime Transport in the Mediterranean Region” on 27 May 2020, from 10:00 to 13:00.

The meeting will bring together representatives from port authorities of the Mediterranean basin, shipping lines and other maritime-related transport companies, along with sectoral international and regional organisations, the European Commission and National transport administrations.

The online webinar is aimed at:

• Reflecting on the impacts of the current global pandemic on maritime transport and port connectivity in the Mediterranean region;
• Sharing best practices on the remedial actions already taken;
• Taking stock of lessons learned and future preparedness needed;
• Making recommendations that could be incorporated in the next edition of the UfM transport action plan.
