Climate Security and Migration in the Mediterranean Event

26 June 2023. 03.30-06.00 pm, Online. “Climate Security and Migration in the Mediterranean” event organized by Alliance of Biodiversity & CIAT and CGIAR is a regional follow up consultation to the May 15, 2023, launch of the CGIAR Climate Security Observatory (CSO) led by the CGIAR Focus Climate Security, the UNU Centre for Policy Research, Geneva Peacebuilding Platform, and the Geneva Centre for Security Policy. During the June Mediterranean event, participants will discuss a common vision of the Climate, Migration, and Security Nexus in the Mediterranean region by supporting local populations for improved resilience, food security, and livelihoods that contribute to peace and stability. The UfM participated in the May CSO launch and will propose at the June Mediterranean event to become a strategic partner to sustain the efforts of the CSO and help link the science based CSO to the policy-making and decision-making processes in the Mediterranean region.
