Creative Forum
11-12 April 2018, Ljubljana.- Creative knowledge and policies are increasingly important components of modern post-industrial knowledge-based economies with cultural and creative industries at the heart of the creative economy. Slovenia would like to serve as a bridge in enhancing stable, peaceful, democratic and economically viable European neighbourhood, promoting its initiative Positive Agenda for the Youth of Western Balkans to the Southern shores of the Mediterranean.
With this initiative, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Slovenia and the Union for the Mediterranean will launch a Conference that will be held in Ljubljana, Slovenia on April 11 and 12, 2018.
The two day event in Ljubljana will showcase the cooperation between high representatives from European institutions, Ministries of Foreign Affairs, Union for the Mediterranean, SEECP participants as well as international institutions and local communities and experts from these regions.
The outreach of this conference has to be the launching of the new cultural and creative industries polycentric network serving as a model for regional cooperation, jobs creation and economy growth as a small puzzle for the global EU strategy plan.
The event will include a high-level political forum. Its goal will be to boost the cooperation of the Western Balkan region with the Southern Mediterranean, the transfer of good practices to the South and the exchange of views on a wide range of strategic topics in the Mediterranean.
