MedfireWise Project steering committee
25-27 March 2026 – UfM will host the steering committee meeting of the MedfireWise EU-funded project (Interreg Next Med). This project aims to strengthen wildfire resilience across the Mediterranean region. The project promotes nature-based solutions such as prescribed burning and silvopasture, while improving risk assessment, prevention, and community engagement. It brings together Mediterranean partners to test innovative approaches and enhance preparedness for wildfire risks in a changing climate.
