Online workshop on AI-driven digitalization solutions for Water and WEFE Nexus in the Mediterranean

Digitalisation in the management of natural resources involves the strategic use of both established and emerging digital tools, technologies, and policies to support sustainable development goals. This approach applies across individual sectors and cross-sectoral domains, such as agriculture, energy, and environmental protection.
Among the most impactful applications are those in water management and the broader Water-Energy-Food-Ecosystems (WEFE) Nexus. Digital solutions, including Artificial Intelligence (AI), can significantly enhance decision-making, resource efficiency, and system resilience when integrated through a Nexus approach.
The webinar ‘AI-driven digitalisation solutions for Water and the WEFE Nexus in the Mediterranean’ will contribute to ongoing regional efforts by presenting the latest developments in this field, showcasing good practices with a focus on AI applications, and collecting feedback to inform further steps. This will also support the possible establishment of a dedicated Community of Practice within the PRIMA WEFE4Med initiative.
