26 June 2025, online – Following the successful meetings held in Barcelona on 27-28 November last year, the upcoming meetings of the UfM Regional Platform on Transport Connectivity and its thematic Working Groups (WGs) on Land, Air, Maritime Transport and on Logistics & Intermodal Transport will be held online on 26 June 2025.
The meetings will aim to discuss the progress of the implementation of the Regional Transport Action Plan (RTAP) 2021-2027 for the Mediterranean region, which mandates a mid-term review by the end of 2024. In particular, the meeting will discuss the findings of the Mid-term review report and the priorities for the upcoming years.
As part of this mid-term review, UfM Partners were requested to fill in the Mid-Term Assessment template covering all RTAP areas and to submit it to the UfM Secretariat. On the basis of the inputs received from the UfM Member States, the UfM Secretariat, in cooperation with the UfM Co-Presidency, has prepared a concise Mid-term review report, which summarises the state of implementation of the actions in the RTAP 2021-2027. The Mid-term review report will form the basis to ensure the further successful implementation of the RTAP until 2027.
The UfM Member States agreed that the upcoming years should see a prioritisation of the actions in the RTAP 2021-2027 for each area of implementation. The UfM Co-Presidency proposes this prioritisation as part of the recommendations of the Mid-term review report, based on the input provided by the UfM Member States and the conclusions of the Mid-term Review assessment.
The detailed agenda and the Mid-term review report will be shared for comments with the UfM Member States prior to the meeting.
The meetings will bring together national transport coordinators (NCs) and focal points (FPs) for land, air and maritime transport and logistics/intermodal transport from technical line ministries of UfM Member States, as well as participants from key regional and international partner organisations.
The UfM Co-presidency and the UfM Secretariat look forward to the participation of UfM Member States and key regional partners in the online meetings on 26 June, which will be instrumental for the successful implementation of the 2023 UfM Transport Ministerial and the RTAP 2021-2027.
