JOB DESCRIPTION

In May 2022 the Defence Ministers meeting at EDA’s ministerial Steering Board approved the establishment of a Hub for EU Defence Innovation (HEDI). HEDI is designed to strengthen EDA’s existing innovation activities but also initiate new ones, in close cooperation with Member States and EU defence innovation stakeholders.

Under the supervision of the RTI Director, the jobholder will contribute to the following activities:

support in transversal innovation activities connected with the Hub for EU Defence Innovation (HEDI):
participate in the organization of expert meetings, workshops, and EU Defence Innovation Days;
collaborate in the organization of outreach activities towards traditional and non-traditional defence organizations;
support in the organization of HEDI related activities, e.g innovation prizes, technology challenges, hackathons.
support in preparation of briefings and presentations for Member States and other relevant stakeholders (e.g. European Commission, EU agencies, companies, NATO);
support in the organization of tenders and procurement procedures;
participate and collaborate in projects and studies under the responsibility of the RTI Directorate or with other Directorates of EDA.
