Fes, 29 November 2018. The Secretary General of the UfM, Nasser Kamel, participated in the annual meetings of the governance bodies of the Euromed University of Fes on 29 November 2018.
The SG had a working session with the President of the University, Mr. Mostapha Bousmina and the Chancellor of the University, where they exchanged on various aspects related to the functioning of the university and the joint cooperation projects in the future.
To this end, the SG has reiterated the UfM’s commitment and willingness to support and assist the University in its future projects and underlined its willingness to further strengthen joint actions.
On the occasion of this first official visit since taking up his position in July 2018, UfM Secretary General also had a chance to interact with students and staff from the University during a conference he held on the campus on 28 November 2018 on “the role of the Union for the Mediterranean in strengthening regional integration”.
The Euromed University of Fes, a flagship project of the Union for the Mediterranean, currently welcomes 1069 students from several nationalities, including 257 scholarship holders. The Action Plan for 2018-2019 adopted by the governance bodies allows the Euromed University of Fes to continue its rapid development.
Two new departments, the Euromed Faculty of Pharmacy and the Euromed School of Digital Engineering and Artificial Intelligence, will be created, thus contributing to enlarge as of September 2019 a rich academic offer already encompassing more than 30 accredited undergraduate and graduate programmes in architecture (25% of enrolled students), engineering, business administration, political science, humanities and social sciences.
