CampusFrance : Sustainable Development Day with Mediterranean Countries
26 June 2018, Montpellier (France). The Secretariat of the Union for the Mediterranean is supporting the sustainable development-focused seminar which is organised for higher education institutions, universities and research centres from Mediterranean countries by Campus France on Tuesday 26 June 2018 in Montpellier (Campus Paul Valery), France.
The event aims at fostering the potential for academic and scientific cooperation in relation with sustainable development by putting together various stakeholders from across the Mediterranean basin. It also ambitions to raise awareness of training needs, niches of excellence, strategic programmes and funding opportunities for further developing students’ and teachers’ mobility. Lastly, it will promote best practice and explore ways to strengthen existing networks in the region.
The event will be shaped around thematic roundtables in the morning followed by bilateral meetings in the afternoon, including a networking lunch.
Objectives
– Develop the potential for academic and scientific cooperation in relation with sustainable development by fostering direct contact between stakeholders from across the Mediterranean basin.
– Raising awareness in terms of needs in training, methodology, national funding opportunities for developing students’ and teachers’ mobility, strategic programmes, niches of excellence.
– Strengthen networking and improve synergy work between the two shores of the Mediterranean.
– Identify European funding opportunities.
