Start of the 3rd face to face period of the EMUNI Master Study Programme on Intercultural Business Communication

The master study programme Intercultural Business Communication (IBC) of the EMUNI University was launched last April 2015 in Portoroz, Slovenia. This February 2016, on the occasion of the start of the 3rd period of face-to-face classes, a seminar will be held under the title “Barcelona Process: 20 Years of Euro-Mediterranean Cooperation in Higher Education and Research”.
The IBC Master is an interdisciplinary two-year study programme offering knowledge and skills in the fields of languages, intercultural dialogue, business administration, intercultural relations, internet marketing and internationalization strategies to be able to communicate and operate effectively in the Euro-Mediterranean and broader area. This master study programme, framed within a UfM-labelled project, is being implemented at the headquarters of the EMUNI University. The EMUNI University is an international network of over 200 Universities. The main mission of the EMUNI countries is to strengthen mutual understanding and intercultural dialogue among Euro-Mediterranean countries by implementing postgraduate study and research programmes, which will significantly contribute towards the development of Higher Education and Research.
OBJECTIVES OF THE MEETING
- To familiarize the participants with the Barcelona Process and gain an insight into the activities and objectives of the Union for the Mediterranean, especially in the field of Higher Education and Research.
- To promote the EMUNI master study programme on Intercultural Business Communication.
- To provide a space for dialogue, sharing experiences and discussion about further opportunities and potential challenges in Higher Education and Research within the Euro-Mediterranean region.
