UfM Secretary General takes part in the Antalya Diplomacy Forum
10-13 March 2022. The Secretary General of the Union for the Mediterranean (UfM), Nasser Kamel, participated in the “Second Antalya Diplomacy Forum – Recoding Diplomacy”, which took place on 10-13 March 2022 in Turkey.
The Secretary General of the UfM moderated the opening panel of the first day of the Conference on the thematic: “Post-Pandemic Recovery, Livelihoods and Localities”. In a panel that was broadcasted live, Secretary General of the Black Sea Economic Cooperation, Lazār Comānescu, the Secretary General of the D-8, Isiaka A. Imam, the Minister of State, African Integration and Diaspora of the Republic of Côte d’Ivoire, Kandia Kamissoko Camara shared their respective institutional experiences on this issue. The panel also witnessed a lively exchange between panellists and the audience.
The Secretary General, in the margins of the Antalya Diplomacy Forum, held meetings with his homologues from different International Organisations, Ministers of Foreign Affairs and other participants from various administrations and institutions.
The Forum hosted 3,000 people among which were 17 Heads of State and Government, 80 Ministers, 39 International Organisation representatives. The Forum was preceded by a high visibility trilateral meeting between the Foreign Ministers of the Russian Federation, Ukraine and Turkey and a Conference on Mediation, both of which were also held in Antalya.
