The core mission of the EuroMedMig-ReNet network is to promote research, training, and knowledge transfer on the key current issues and main challenges connected with the migratory research Agenda in the Mediterranean. The Union for the Mediterranean designated Secretary General Nasser Kamel met with Algerian Minister of Foreign Affairs, Abdelkader Messahel Algiers, 25-27 June 2018. Designated SG Nasser Kamel was received by the Minister for Foreign Affairs of Algeria, Abdelkader Messahel. He underlined the important role that Algeria plays within the Union for the Mediterranean and he affirmed that we cannot conceive regional cooperation in the Mediterranean without Algeria. The BlueMed initiative is launching a new Call for Start-up Action.  The Start-up Actions represent concrete opportunities to explore innovative, knowledge-based pathways and forward-looking visions with a multidisciplinary, mission-oriented approach, for further uptake and developments.  The BlueMed initiative is one of the main line of actions within the UfM Ministerial on Blue Economy.
