نحو عقد جديد من التعاون الأورومتوسطي بقلم فيديريكا موغيريني وأيمن الصفدي وناصر كامل اجتمع قادة دول حوض البحر الأبيض المتوسط والاتحاد الأوروبي، دولاً ومؤسسات، منذ عشر سنوات فيباريس لبحث تعزيز التعاون الإقليمياستناداً إلى عملية برشلونة التي تم تدشينها في منتصف التسعينات ، حيث شهد هذا الاجتماع اطلاق الاتحاد من أجل المتوسط. ويتضح اليوم، بعد مرور عشر سنوات، أن هناك حاجةأكبر لللمزيد من التعاون الأورومتوسطي، حيث تشهد المنطقة مرحلةانتقالية شاقة وصعبة. ونقدر أن تنافس القوى في المنطقة وغياب آليات فعالة للحوار والتعاون لن يترتب عليه سوى تفاقم الصراعات الحالية وتأجيج صراعات جديدة. و عليه فان الحاجة ملحة لتعزيز العمل المشترك باعتباره السبيل الوحيد لوضع حد للصراعات ،وخلق الوظائف وتحقيق النمو المستدام لشعوب المنطقة . وقد كانت هذه المنطقة – الغنية بتاريخها و وثقافتها – مهد الحضارات والثقافات النابضة بالحياة، والتي أثرت الحضارة الإنسانية عندما قدمت للعالم الأبجدية،والديمقراطية، والفلسفة، فضلاً عن أولي المكتباتوالمؤسسات الأكاديمية الكبري في العالم. ومما لا شك فيه أنه لا يمكن تجاهل الثقل الاقتصادي للمنطقة لما تزخر به من ثروات، سواء على صعيد الموارد الطبيعية أوالبشرية. وعلى الرغم من ذلك، فقد واجهت هذه المنطقة فيالسنوات الأخيرة تحديات جمة اثرت سلبا علي فرص استغلال امكاناتها الهائله . و سنعقد اليوم في برشلونة المنتدي الإقليمي الثالث لدول الاتحاد من أجل المتوسط علي مستوي وزراء الخارجية و لا شك ان الاتحاد من أجل المتوسط يعد منبرا فريدا للحوار، وهو الحيز الوحيد الذي تستطيع فيه كافة دولالمنطقة، شمالا و جنوبا و على قدم المساواة ،ان… إقرأ المزيد

Access to affordable and sustainable housing is a global challenge growing fast in the Euro-Mediterranean region. Vienna, 20 September 2018. In the framework of the 10-year anniversary of the Union for the Mediterranean (UfM), its Senior Officials endorsed today three new regional projects on deforestation, preventing violent extremism and smart cities. On this occasion, he was received by the Minister of Foreign Affairs and Cooperation, Ismail Ould Cheikh Ahmed. Cairo, 10 September 2018. The Secretary General of the Union for the Mediterranean, Nasser Kamel, paid a working visit this week to the Arab Republic of Egypt within the framework of his outreach to the UfM Member States.
