29 and 30 January 2025, Thessaloniki/Greece – in line with Marrakech Ministerial Declaration of May 2022, in the context of the 5th Ministerial Meeting on Employment and Labour, the 12 volunteering UfM Member States of the UfM Community of Practice on Monitoring will meet in Thessaloniki- Greece to continue discussing the state of play of the monitoring exercise as part of the preparation for the 2025 UfM Ministerial on Employment and Labour.
The monitoring exercise aims at better understanding the impact of the policy actions notably on youth and women by increasing of the quality and, if conditions allow, of the scope of employment and labour information, data, analysis and strategy. The voluntary UfM Member States will have a dedicated discussion in the meeting to the Online Tracking Tool being developed to store and visualize collected information and trends both thematically and geographically, the process is coordinated and led by a Task Force, whose members are the UfM Secretariat, the European Commission (Directorate General for Employment, Social Affairs and Inclusion, DG EMPL) and the European Training Foundation (ETF).
The meeting will be followed by a study visit to the European Centre for the Development of Vocational Training “CEDEFOP” one of the EU’s decentralized agencies aiming at improving vocational education and training (VET) through effective policy-making.
