Nasser Judeh introduces the UfM’s High level Ministerial Meeting
Barcelona, 26 November 2015. Nasser Judeh, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates of Jordan, as well as UfM’s co-president, introduces us to the 1st High Level Ministerial Meeting in over 7 years, which focuses on “a common development agenda for the Mediterranean”.
He explains that despite the political challenges and threats of terrorism the region is facing, we should be able to keep on addressing the needs of the people by turning challenges into opportunities.
The UfM Co-presidency, the EU and Jordan, and the 43 Member states have given a strong political commitment to the UfM and have called for unity and collective work to face the challenges of the Mediterranean region during their informal high level meeting held yesterday in Barcelona.
