شاركت22 فتيات شابات أتين من عشر دول من جنوب المتوسط، واللاتي تم اختيارهن حسب مسارهن وإرادتهن من أجل دفع ثقافة المساواة بين المرأة والرجل، في تكوين دام أسبوعين حول المساواة والريادة وكان ذلك في باريس وستراسبورغ من 9 إلى 20 مايو/أيار.

المشروع المعتمد من الاتحاد من أجل المتوسط “الفتيات كرائدات أعمال” يعود بالنفع حالياً على أكثر من 2000 شابة في منطقة المتوسط ترغب في إنشاء مشروع خاص بها. تقديم المشروع كأفضل ممارسة تعاون إقليمي خلال قمة القاهرة الدولية لتمكين المرأة ورائدات الأعمال والمشاريع الصغيرة والمتوسطة.
برشلونة، 5 مايو/أيار 2016. في إطار المنتدى المتوسطي الثامن لرائدات الأعمال، الذي عقد في القاهرة في 28 أبريل/نيسان، قدمت السفيرة دلفين بوريون، نائبة أمين عام الاتحاد من أجل المتوسط، نتائج المشروع المعتمد من الاتحاد من أجل المتوسطالفتيات كرائدات أعمال.

التقى 50 خبير دولي في شؤون المساواة بين الجنسين من الحكومات الأعضاء في الاتحاد من أجل المتوسط، والمنظمات الدولية، ومنظمات المجتمع المدني، في 25-26 أبريل/نيسان، بمقر الاتحاد من أجل المتوسط في برشلونة، من أجل التمهيد لانعقاد الاجتماع الوزاري حول تعزيز “دور المرأة في المجتمع” والمزمع انعقاده خلال النصف الثاني من عام 2017.
