•شدّد الوزراء المسؤولون عن المياه من الدول الأعضاء في الاتحاد من أجل المتوسط على أن منطقة البحر المتوسط معرّضة بشدة لمخاطر شح المياه، وأن التغير المناخي يفاقم من الضغط على موارد المياه الحالية في المنطقة.
•اتفق الوزراء على وضع أجندة للمياه للاتحاد من أجل المتوسط لمساعدة الدول الأعضاء في الاتحاد من أجل المتوسط على تنفيذ سياسات الإدارة المستدامة والمتكاملة للموارد المائية والمساهمة في توفير سبل كسب الرزق المستدامة لمواطني المنطقة، مشيرين إلى أهمية اتفاقية باريس ومعيدين التأكيد على التزامهم بخطة التنمية المستدامة لعام 2030.
•كما دعا الوزراء أيضاً إلى تحسين إمكانية الحصول على التمويل من أجل التعامل مع الآثار السلبية للتغير المناخي على المياه.
