4th UfM Working Group on Environment and Climate Change

24 May 2023, Sitges (Spain) –UfM Countries and Observers will convene in Sitges (Spain) for the 4^th UfM Working Group on Environment and Climate Change. The members of the Working Group will come together to: (i) Take stock of progress in the implementation of the 2021 UfM Ministerial Declaration on Environment and Climate Action through the 2030GreenerMed Agenda and the Climate Action Work Plan; (ii) Exchange on main priorities and needs; (iii) Reflect on how, in line with Ministerial mandate, the UfM WG on Environment and Climate Change feeds the global, regional, national agendas and supports in advancing thematic activities at all levels, including within upcoming international gatherings (2023 UN 2030 SDG Summit and Climate Ambition Summit in NYC, COP 28, 2024 UN Biodiversity Conference Turkey, etc.); (iv) Share updates on regional initiatives, programs, and projects; and (v) Recap the 2023 calendar of activities and discuss the way forward.
