Renewable Energy and Energy Efficiency – Extended Technical Committee (ETC) Working Groups Meeting

The Secretariat of the Union for the Mediterranean (UfM) is organising a two-day meeting bringing together representatives from all the Extended Technical Committee (ETC) Working Groups.
Representatives from UfM Member States and stakeholders will join this platform for dialogue and exchange of knowledge and experiences on renewable energy and energy efficiency. The meeting will provide an opportunity to present Mediterranean initiatives for the emergence of a regional energy market, the priorities of the internatioEnal financial institutions (IFIs) in the region as well as examples of best practices.
On the first day, participants will identify priority actions and opportunities for concrete cooperation in the four domains of the ETC Working Groups:
- Best Practices (Policy and Regulatory)
- Infrastructure/Interconnections
- Energy Efficiency
- Local Value Chain and Job Creation
On the second day, the corresponding Working Groups will present their contributions to the ETC.
This meeting will allow ETC members to continue the work undertaken in these four areas and to identify potential initiatives and projects for the region.
