4th Meeting of the UFM Environment Task Force
17 of November 2020, online. The 4th meeting of the UfM Task Force on Environment will gather country representatives and regional stakeholders in order present and discuss the advanced version of the UfM post 2020 Environment Agenda, so called “Towards 2030: Agenda for a Greener Med -Contributing to Achieving the Environmental SDGs in the Mediterranean” (2030GreenerMed). This living document will shape the Agenda up to 2030 and will be updated over time.
More in detail, on the 17th, the meeting will look into integrating the Covid related aspects in the narrative of Greener Med; discussp roposal and finetuning of the Implementation framework of the UFM Ministerial Declaration and the 2030GreenerMed Agenda, based on supporting projects, programs, initiatives; communication and dissemination aspects.
On the occasion, an update of the ongoing process towards the 2021 UfM Ministerial on Environment and Climate Action will be also provided by the UfM CoPresidency, wrapping up on steps already undertaken – namely two Ad Hoc SOM, one on 9th of July 2020 and another on 30th September 2020 (https://ufmsecretariat.org//second-ufm-ad-hoc-som-environment-climate-change) – as well as inputs received, in particular the ones of the Online UfM Stakeholders Consultation on the Ministerial Priorities between July and August 2020, which are available online (https://ufmsecretariat.org//wp-content/uploads/2020/11/Final-Summary-Report_UfM.pdf).
The meeting will conclude with the flash update of UfM labelled and UfM relevant initiatives, programs, projects, via videos received by the same promoters.
