Training Session on Gender-sensitive innovation and digital opportunities for rural women: what role for intermediary actors such as Innovation Support Organizations?Delivered by CIHEAM Bari and MIP-Mediterranean Innovation Partnership network
- Training of rural women in digital and new technologies is essential to strengthen their place in agri-food value chains. This session, starting from the General Framework of the Mediterranean context (MIP 2020 Report), therefore aims to provide “trainers” and “solution developers” operating in Mediterranean ISOs with methodologies and tools to facilitate the customization of support services for the women entrepreneurship, taking on and responding to their specific gender challenges and needs.

This survey aims at mapping the Innovation Support Organizations (ISOs)* operating in the Mediterranean region in the frame of the Mediterranean Innovation Partnership (MIP) Network for youth entrepreneurship and technology transfer in the agrifood sector (mip.iamb.it). The relevant information collected will be important for the elaboration of MIP report 2021 that describes the innovation scenario in the Mediterranean in general and in the agrifood sector in particular. It offers the opportunity for each ISO to create synergies and collaborations with other Mediterranean ISOs.
The ISOs feedback will enable the MIP network to involve them in the different training and cooperation activities that will be organized in the MIP countries.
*Innovations Support Organizations (ISOs) are structures (namely, clusters, technology parks, business incubators, technology transfer offices, seed accelerators, business angels and early-stage investors, etc.) where young aspiring entrepreneurs, innovators, public institutions, private investors, research and training centres, meet to share knowledge, experiences and best practices aimed at building up an “enterprise culture”.
