7-8 February. Building on the commitments made during the Summit of the Two Shores in 2019, the Forum des mondes méditerranéens, organised at the initiative of the President of the French Republic, will bring together civil society actors from all over the Mediterranean region to come up with concrete solutions to our shared challenges in 6 main areas:
The Forum will also be an opportunity to showcase projects and proposals developed by committed citizens on these topics. These discussions will help create networks, build bridges and launch new initiatives aimed at young people and civil society.
The “2030 Mediterranean Appeal”: Presentation of proposals to President of the Anna Lindh Foundation and to the Union for the Mediterranean Secretary General
The 50 most active participants in the consultation process were invited to Marseilles ahead of the Forum. A debate between representatives of each work group, selected from among these 50 participants, the President of the ALF and the Secretary General of the UfM, would be an opportunity to present the work carried out and to better inform the agenda of these two Mediterranean institutions for the coming years.
This exchange will take the form of a presentation by representatives of working groups – What is the 2030 Mediterranean Appeal? What general findings did the consultation process come up with? What are the key proposals for a more sustainable, prosperous and integrated Mediterranean by 2030? – followed by questions and answers. The exchange session will take place on 6 February, at 15h in Palais du Pharo, Marseille.
