Europe and the World: The Union Civil Protection Mechanism (UCPM) as a regional cooperation model
27-29 June, Brussels. In the run-up to the 7th European Civil Protection Forum (28-29 June 2022), a series of warm up sessions were organized around the main policy axes of the Forum. ‘Europe and the World: The Union Civil Protection Mechanism (UCPM) as a regional cooperation model´ (27 June) is the fourth and last warm-up session. It will take place on the 27 June 2022, in hybrid form, with participants from the Western Balkans, Turkey, Eastern Partnership and Southern Neighbourhood countries as well as representatives from international organizations. The outcome of the warm-up session will feed immediately into the related workshops during the 7th European Civil Protection Forum.
The UfM will contribute to the 4th Warm-Up session through a recorded message by the UfM Secretary General, Nasser Kamel, and also via the participation, in person, of the Deputy Secretary General, Social & Civil Affairs, John Paul Grech and UfM Civil Protection expert, Captain Laurent Alfonso.
